Lights out no biggie. but for lost food, i'm all set on lighting, 370 watts solar to (3) (4D) battery's all my lighting is LED's but no inverter to cook with the microwave. I do have a gas Grill on the back porch---used it a lot. My B.O.V. is just out front= so another bed close by. I have couple cases of water to drink Unless it's winter & I get snowed in-for a week- Had that happen a few times. if I thought it was really gonna be bad---I get out of here in the Van. Keebler.
update brought out my Heater Buddy & a 20 Lb tank (on card board) in the house, (trailer) gets cold early mornings when it 20 or so outside, electric heat Just cant do it.I do have a wood stove under the house but it goes out 5 am most or the time. so the H.B gives me a quicker warm up before I can get the wood stove going again. Happy Thanksgiving . keeb

Using a Tent to Keep Warm Indoors This prepping and survival idea comes to us from South Korea, due to an unfortunate situation in that nation. The shutdown of six of their 23 nuclear power plants has brought frequent blackouts and high prices for electricity. To survive during the harsh winter weather, some citizens have hit on the idea of using a tent, indoors, to increase the air temperature around them. The heat from your body and your warm breath increases the air temperature in the tent as much as 15 degrees F above the indoor temperature, according to this report: Would you use an indoor tent to save money on heating costs?. Some enterprising souls have gone so far as to place a tent around their bed. www.prep-blog.com/2013/12/18/using-a-tent-to-keep-warm-indoors/
