Thanks for the links, cant wait to go over them. Packs is one of my favorite topics with the preps. I tend to watch a lot of youtube videos with them.

The best way to find out what you'd need in case of 'emergency' is go out NOW. See what you forgot & really need the most, then add it to your survival kit.

exactly..but yet.i still need to think things out before i start loading my pack.this way,i'll most and likely have.at least most of what i'll need,in which they'll fall into 2 catagories.1st is..getting home from where ever i am..but that only applys to me haveing to abandin the vehicale for ever reason(s).the 2nd is.haveing to leave home on foot.or abandoning the vehicale after i got a certain distance from home..then and only then.i can try out my bag..and every thing with it..i know i'll be takeing a tent, tarp, clothes, warm blankets dureing the winter,or get a sleeping bag thats very compact when rolled up..first aid supplies, water bottle and canteens.the needed food,,weapons.different ways to start a fire.etc..

something I have noticed that nearly everyone omits....toilet paper...I have used the old "leaf trick" when growing up and wandering the woods as a youngster, but let me tell you, t.p. is one of the things you will miss the most!
since this for bugout...forget the tent, get a good tarp that can double as a pup tent and an extremely good damp resistant sleeping bag. EXTRA socks...if your feet get wet and stay wet, that can become a major problem quickly! matches in waterproof container, can of sterno (will cook food even if it is raining) if you can get to an overhang to be semi dry.

yeah .toilet paper will be missed..i grew up in the country as well..i used to pull weeds and grass to use as TP..then find a spot where others wont see what takes place.i use a tarp when i use a tent.on account that keeps the tent off the ground..i had forgotten about a site that shows diff ways to set up a tarp as a tent.i need to relocate it.on account there's some good ideas there..
